It starts!

As members of the black company a mercenary group out for Fame, fortune, and adventure. The Black Company takes on a red dragon at the Southern foot of the Spine Of The Word where the Geniseng River comes closest.

You find yourself lying in your own blood and the blood of friends, not moving for fear of attracting the dragon’s attention. There were thirty of you to start. As you attempted to enter the Dragons cave the first ten were burned alive with a jet of intense flame and heat.

The rest of what happened was just a blur. Between flame, claw and fang you all died. Whether the dragon was full, missed you amongst the other bodies, or simply did not care anymore its great wrath was now abated. The last thing you saw was his enormous tale slithering back into the cave where all his riches must lie.

You awake the the healing magic of the party’s Cleric Hector. Others still alive are Grom Hellscream a fierce half Orc Barbarian who joined the Black Company a month ago, Tallish a human wizard & Shar-Reil an Eladrin rogue.

At the foot of the south side of the Grey Mountains the next city of size would be the city of Sanctuary. Many villages’ lie between. So after pulling themselves from the gore and burned body’s the party Moved on toward civilization.
